Honiton swimmers dominated at the Exeter Sprints Gala, securing medals and scores of new personal bests.
The event took place at Plymouth Life Centre on September 29, attracting swimming clubs across Devon in a display of exhilarating competition.
Youngsters aged 9 to 17 from the Honiton Team excelled in over 50 events, covering all four disciplines.
First-time gala participants shone brightly, putting up remarkable performances.
"For some of the younger swimmers this was their first gala and they swam brilliantly," said a spokesperson for the Honiton team.
Success was bountiful as hard work in training led to an abundance of new personal best times.
Special congratulations go to Emilia, Ellen, Hamish, Julia, and Meighan who won medals in their respective age groups.
The camaraderie within the team was palpable as the swimmers rallied together, cheering for one another and celebrating each other’s successes.
Honiton Swim Club, hosting multiple sessions throughout the week, hopes to welcome new swim coaches and swimmers, as young as 7 years old, who have passed their learn-to-swim stages.
