There were chances for both sides to win this close fought encounter but it was Honiton who took the points with a late header from Jake Sellick. It was the club’s first ever win at Lord’s Meadow.
After an even first half, Honiton went ahead when Aaron Pearce scored with a spot kick after the referee had spotted a foul inside the box.
Luke White equalised for the home side with a long-range effort after 65 minutes and the game looked likely to end in a draw.
The Crediton goalkeeper was then forced into to making several good saves before Sellick powered his way through a crowded goalmouth to seal the historic win.
