Members of Honiton Running Club achieved commendable placements at the Dalwood Fayre 10k race.
The race, held on Sunday, July 21, known for its diverse terrain involving country roads, woodlands, and farmland, had perfect conditions for competitors, remaining dry but not excessively hot.
Mat Clist emerged as the victor of the race, clocking an impressive time of 40 minutes and 45 seconds.
However, the undoubted highlight for the Honiton runners was the excellent performance of their newest member, Matt Hollings.
He registered a time of 46.32, ranking him 3rd overall and first from Honiton.
Furthermore, Ceri Oak stood tall as the first lady back for Honiton, placing as the 3rd woman across the finish line in a commendable 55.07.
She was closely followed by Mark Dallyn, who came in 18th, just 37 seconds later.
Richard Harvey, who had maintained pace alongside Ceri and Mark for the majority of the race, completed in 56.42 and took the 20th place.
In other notable performances, the club was also victorious in the shorter 3k race, with members, mostly juniors, snatching the first five places, led by Yossi Maclure who finished in 15.14.
Appreciation was extended to the organising teams, Ruby Red Running, the Dalwood Fayre Committee, landowners, and marshals for hosting a great event.
