The inaugural Branscombe International Trail Championships, held on June 9, presented an elevating challenge to its participants.
The race featured three laps of a demanding six-mile route with 1,650 feet of climbing per loop.
It was organised by Ruby Red Running and funds were raised for Branscombe Village Hall.
Oscar Purchase, Rik Tumbler and Adam Hennessey emerged as the winning team, completing the course in 3hrs 8mins.
Team 14, comprising Howard Bidmead, Jonny Bennett, and Steve Davey, were the winners of the Vet Class, where participants had a combined age of 150+ years.
A special mention goes to Hamish Hall, who, despite his team's absence, ran two of the three laps single-handedly.
