The inaugural Branscombe International Trail Championships took place this week on Sunday (June 9).
The race consists of three laps of a challenging six-mile route with 1,650 feet of climb per loop, with each team member completing one loop each.
The event was put on by Ruby Red Running and raised funds for Branscombe Village Hall.
The winning team of Oscar Purchase, Rik Tumbler and Adam Hennessey completed the course in 3hrs 8mins, followed by Team 15, with Team 19 in 3rd.
Winners of the Vet Class (combined age of 150+) was Team 14 (Howard Bidmead, Jonny Bennett, Steve Davey).
Kudos to Hamish Hall who, on realising the rest of his team hadn’t turn up, took on running two out of the three loops himself.
