Putting the disappointment of Woodbury behind them, Honiton 1sts left Tiverton with a win over a tough Heathcoat 3rds outfit.
Having won the toss, Honiton elected to bat first.
Batsmen Haysom and Conway began the first four overs on a strong note, racing to 38 off the width offered by a young Heathcoat side.
However, Haysom fell early, caught at deep midwicket for 12.
Conway and Kennel then took the reins, watchfully building the innings.
Conway put on a standout performance with an impressive personal best, smashing 177 off 116 balls, pushing the score beyond 250 within 32 overs.
His impressive batting, featuring 25 fours and 10 sixes, managed to scatter the field wide.
Kennel ably supported Conway until falling on 48.
Thereafter, Canniford and Holmes' contributions of 34 and 29 respectively took the score past the 300-mark.
Despite this, Honiton ended on a sour note, losing 5 wickets for 15 runs, with Pemberthy securing 4-22 off seven overs.
Heathcoat's challenging target of 344 would prove a tough test.
Despite some half chances and near misses, the home side managed a 50-partnership.
However, after the introduction of Smith, replacing Holmes, Lock was caught behind first ball for 26.
The home side continued to strive towards their target, almost matching the required run rate, though in a less flamboyant style than Conway's earlier performance.
Ingram got introduced in the game in the 20th over and immediately had Pugsley caught for 66.
At 132-2, the game remained in the balance.
Conway then managed to remove Salter for 48 in his first over bowled.
This was followed by a quick pick up and throw from Knight that led to a run out in the next over.
Ingram continued to lead the charge with effective spin bowling to finish with 5-37, supported by Conway (2-43), Holmes(1-37) and Smith (1-31).
Honiton's redeeming win earned them 20 points, leaving Heathcoat with 10 points in what was a thrilling match.
