Honiton 2nds put in a disappointing performance with the bat as they suffered defeat at the hands of an impressive Culmstock 2nds side.
Culmstock batted first, scoring a decent 172 runs.
The Honiton bowlers, including Rick Empson who took three wickets for a mere 16 runs off 8 overs, and Lewis Blackwell who also took three, kept them in check.
A host of other bowlers like Dan Hooper, Zac Cramer, Harry Court and Andrew Empson similarly performed well.
However, Honiton floundered in their turn at the crease.
Starting positively at 47-2, they lost momentum as their last eight wickets fell cheaply.
Blackwell topped the Honiton scorecard contributing 19 runs, while Richard Hill chipped in with 12.
Disappointingly, Honiton failed to hit the target set by Culmstock.
Culmstock's bowlers earned kudos for a disciplined performance that helped secure the team's victory.
Honiton's failure in chasing down the target marked a disheartening performance with the bat, leaving them to reflect on their strategy ahead of future games.
