Despite persistent overnight rain, the going was good with some soft sections at Stafford Cross (East Devon) last Sunday.
Axe Vale Hunt Point to Point opened its gates at 10:30am to welcome 106 race entries as well as many racegoers.
The pony races and a visit from the Axe Vale hounds kickstarted the day.
Spectators could buy burgers and donuts whilst checking the runners and riders form before placing bets at the on-course bookies.
Local beers and cider were also on offer in the beer tent.
Hunt Members began the first official race at 13:30, with five runners.
Dorrells Pierji led them home at 7/4, Templier d'Habert (3/1) in second, and Kilronan Castle (33/1) in third.
Businessman (8/1) unseated its rider and there was a refusal from Important Notice (6/4F).
There was a dead heat in the Intermediate race at 14:10 between Moodofthemoment (Evens F) and Scoresby (8/1).
This pair were followed up by Donny’s Fortune (3/1).
Of the six runners, two fell: Great Schema (25/1) and Arv Way There (4/1).
The weather turned and brought sunshine for the Mixed Open at 14:40, with Ninth Wave (9/4) coming in first, Sixteen Letters (7/2) at second, and Hell Red (2/1F) in third.
Of the 12 runners, Diligent (14/1) unseated its rider, Honestlyntrufully (25/1) pulled up, and there was a refusal from the popular Shantou Flyer (100/30).
At 15:15, 10 set off for the Conditions (Level 2) for Grass Roots Riders, with Walkin Out (4/1), All Loved Up (3/1), and Canastero (40/1) in first second and third respectively.
13 Restricted runners lined up at 15:50, with Whitsand Bay (6/1), Boys Will Be Boys (16/1), and My Lucky Star (12/1) coming in first second and third.
At 16:25 the Jockey Club Mares Maiden was brought home by Moon Lady (4/7F) second was Maska du Morvan (9/2) followed by Order of Progress (12/1).
Of the nine runners, five pulled up.
A well-priced Ringsend John (9/1) was first in the final Maiden race, followed up by Holkham Hall (5/4F) and Wait at the Gate (8/1) in third.
Of the 14 runners, two pulled up, one fell and one unseated its rider.
Once the races had finished for the day, the vibrant atmosphere and merriment continued into the night for an afterparty in the beer tent; with live music bringing together a celebratory crowd, despite any losses on their race cards.
