Here is blast from the mid 1970s when Offwell and Widworthy were running two teams.

Unfortunately, none of the guys in the picture are now with us.

Roy Land was a long-serving secretary of both Offwell football and cricket teams.

He was a wily spin bowler and leading wicket taker for many seasons.

Mike Richards was team manager and two of his sons, Martin in goal and Graham in midfield, also played for the club.

Other notable Offwell players of that time included Ted Beament, Ian Wicks, Ralph Langworthy, Max and Trevor Pipe amongst others.

John Lukins was a reporting legend of local football for many many years.
