The Honiton Seniors section has elected Neil Price as their captain for 2024. Ian Collier was appointed as the new Vice-captain. Members thanked Bob Graham, the outgoing captain, for all his hard work over what was a very successful year for the section.
The latest seniors’ stableford saw Steve Butcher leading Division 1 with 42 points and Mike Ward, Neil Price and Dave Maggs filling the minor places. In Division 2 Jon Kane prevailed with 44 points followed by Mike Watts, Paul Webber and Brian Phillips.
Honiton Ladies welcomed their new Lady Captain, Cathy Pawley, with a friendly 14 hole Delaney Scramble, won by Sue Carr, Judith Taylor and Jo Donmall.
This week’s Honiton Tuesday Mixed competition was a Rye Foursomes, played over 14 holes by 16 competitors.
Leading the field once more was Linda Blundell, this time partnered by her husband Steve, with an impressive 41 points, followed by Joan Crook and John Ward on 38.
