Following a break for the Christmas and New Year celebrations, Lyme Regis Golf Club Ladies played in their first competition of 2024 on Thursday, January 4, and the festivities over the previous fortnight had little impact on the scoring.
The nine-hole Bowmaker was competed for by of teams of two or three ladies with the two best team Stableford scores on each hole counting. The winning team with a total of 32 points was Jean Jolley, Caroline Baker and Jane Broom.
The two teams sharing second place with 30 points were Liz Davies, Kathy Briggs and Rosemary Dare, alongside the two-player team of Ros Clemmans and Marina Cave. Having avoided the predicted rain, players returned to the clubhouse for a well-earned hot drink!
The Lyme Regis golfers will be looking forward to more of the same, as the weather hopefully begins to turn in our favour.
