Honiton Running Club members travelled to Castle Drogo to take part in the very challenging off-road 10-mile race, enjoy superb views of the Teign Valley.
First back for Honiton was Ben Stone who finished 69th in 1:24. Pete Nicholls followed coming 96th in 1:28. Leading the HRC ladies home was Rebecca Stevens who came 163rd in 1:35.
Other HRC runners: 208th Judy Davey 1:41, 219th Richard Harvey 1:43, 248th Rachel Hennessey 1:47, 274th Clare Melbourne 1:50, 275th Mark Newson 1:50, 312th Steve Selley 1:56, 336th Donna Stone 2:00, 359th Rosie Geale 2:04, 387th Simon Bates 2:11, 388th Sarah Quick 2:12, 394th Sarah Ryerson 2:15 and 417th Helen Williams 2:29.
The race was won by Mike Page in the amazing time of 1:06 and there were 424 finishers. Half of the race entry fee went to the National Trust and it was great to see the fully restored Castle as a great backdrop.
