The Annual General Meeting of Feniton Bowling Club was held on November 10 and it was good to see a large attendance from members, writes Roger Smith.
Chris Jacob was elected as Chairman, Secretary Don Coyne, Treasurer Vanessa Murdoch and Match Secretary, Don Coyne. Graham Phillips and Dianne Phillips are Club Captain and Ladies Captain respectively.
Other appointments are Dave Sanders as Men’s Vice-Captain, and Dianne Bowden as Ladies Vice-Captain with Glynda Blackmore, Arthur Murdoch, Zoe Flockhart, Joan Mackintosh and Paul Bright being elected on the main committee.
It has been another fine season at the club, with the Men’s team finishing third in section 3 of the County Trophy Competition. The Club also finished third in the East of Exe Mixed league. The over 60s teams secured their positions in their respective division in the Exeter and District men’s over 60s league.
The Ladies finished third in their division of the Ladies Triples League. Unfortunately the Club was relegated from division 1 of the East of Exe Mixed League.
Feniton Bowling Club held its Annual Dinner and Presentation Evening On Saturday, November 11 at the Six Bells, Payhembury. The presentations for the club competitions were made by the President, Les Ley and the respective winners and runners up were:-
