Feniton Bowls Club honoured one of its longest serving members, Don Conbeer, who passed away earlier this year, with Don Conbeer Memorial Match to celebrate Don’s life, involving Club members and family members in an afternoon of friendly bowls that was enjoyed by all.
The final matches of the Men’s over 60s Triples league saw the Hawks narrowly lose away at high flying Hemyock by 37-41, one rink was tied, The Eagles lost a rearranged match against Chardstock by 27-33, the winning rink was P Lawlor, C Jacob and R Clarke. However, they won their final match against Crediton B by 36-28. The winning rink was M Chipperfield, D Downs and D Coyne 22-11.
Two Feniton teams have to be congratulated for progressing to the last eight of the County Unbadged competitions. P Eells and B Cann won 18-17 in the pairs and G Phillips, P Bright and B Cann won 18-8 in the triples.
