Ten-mile time trials attract a wide cross section of ages from AVP. Colin Bennett has been competing in this form of cycle sport for impressive 60 years; last week he did a 29 min 16 seconds, that's an average speed of 20.5mph, writes Clive Heard.
At the younger age range of the AVP, Jimmy Richards (racing in Pure Endurance team colours) took the win with a strong 23:14.
Monica Yates hosted a tea party in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support. The July Sunday club ride led by Becca took in quiet East Devon lanes around Weston, Buckerell, Curscombe, Feniton, Sherwood, Talaton, and Larkbeare.
Gravel cycling is growing in popularity, it's great to get off the beaten track and explore local and far away places. Recent AVP gravel rides have visited Haldon Woods and Teign Valley trails, the Herepath in the Blackdown Hills and most recently an 80 mile Salisbury Plain gravel sportive.
