In the County Ladies Senior Rinks competition, Honiton bowlers Tracy Lambert, Yvonne Raynor, Carole Binmore and Sue Evans defeated Ottery St Mary 18 - 10 and now progress to the finals to be played at Exonia on July 11.
C Armitage, C Binmore, H Chambers, D Courtney, A Dredge, S Evans, S Hiscocks, T Lambert, D Morley and Y Rayner travelled to Topsham to play in the next round of the Devon County National Top Club Competition, with Honiton winning on three rinks and overall by 82 – 59, so now progress to the next round.
Ladies Triple League: The Honiton Lacemakers team of C Binmore, H Chambers, A Dredge, J Granger, B Maynard, S Willcox played the Seaton Red team and won on both rinks and overall 33 – 24, gaining six points.
The Honiton Honeybees team of S Hiscocks, V Lloyd, J Mackintosh, P McMahon, J Sherwood and H Travers won on one rink and an overall score of 34 – 25, gaining four points.
In the Mens County Trophy match against Ottery St Mary, Honiton won on all four rinks with a final score of 90 – 72. A Mixed Friendly match was played at home against Exonia with Honiton winning 72 - 59. Top rink: M Critchley, N Moore, and J Sherwood, 22 – 7.
In the National Top Club competition the Honiton Ladies team of C Armitage, C Binmore, H Chambers, D Courtney, A Dredge, S Evans, S Hiscocks, T Lambert, D Morley and Y Rayner, travelled to Crediton and won on the last end, 65-63.
In the next round the Honiton team of C Binmore, H Chambers, D Courtney, S Evans, S Hiscocks, J Mackintosh, B Maynard, D Morley, Y Rayner and S Willcox played an afternoon match at Ottery St Mary, with Honiton winning the match 67–61.
The Honiton Ladies Honeybees team of S Hiscocks, V Lloyd, J Mackintosh, S Rolfe, J Sherwood and H Travers, went to Sidmouth to play the Sidmouth Blue team. The match was close but Sidmouth Blue won 32-29.
