Feniton Bowling Club gave a warm welcome to old and new members to their opening drive. Bowlers braved the weather, as President Les Lay was invited to put up the first wood of the season, which was followed by the traditional spider.
We then got down to the serious business of a game of triples and, as the game progressed, the sun came out and we finished our first game of the season in glorious sunshine.
If you are interested in playing bowls, you will receive a warm welcome at our club nights on a Friday evening from 6pm at Feniton bowling club during the bowling season. Finally, we wish everyone a successful bowling season.
The first match of the season was a friendly away against South Molton. Feniton lost a close match by 68 -70. The winning rinks were T Cox, D Bowden and R Smith 17-7, J Smith, V Murdoch and R Lovering 15-12 and G Blackmore, A Murdoch and D Coyne 11-9.
