Lyme Regis Leapers had a record turnout of 30 golfers for their annual 3 Clubs and A Putter competition.
The day started at 10.30 in Greens Restaurant with a fabulous breakfast served up by Head Chef, Steve Graham. Bright sunshine but a blustery wind made for some challenging golf.
This was reflected in some low scoring with half the field getting a shot back on their Leapers' handicap. So, all the more impressive that the winner, Nick Johnson, shot 38, ironically five points more than he managed the week before with a full set of clubs!
Also presented in the afternoon was the Winter Knockout Trophy, with former Club Chairman John Coley presenting this to 2023 champion Ray Parsons.
A special mention too for Course Manager Jamie Hughes and his team for having the course in remarkably good condition considering the amount of rain received in March.
