Jimmy is one of the fastest riders in the area who, when out training, often maintains an average speed of 19mph. He will be starting his time trial campaign next weekend at Honiton and also be competing at closed circuit criteriums at the Torbay Velopark and West Point. For success at these events, not only do you require a high level of fitness but also keen bike handling skills for staying upright in the peloton.
Sunday, April16 sees the monthly social ride starting from the Sainsbury's carpark in Chard, it heads over to Martock, 35 miles at a steady pace with a cafe stop, could be a great ride for new members to try, contact www.axevalleypedallers.co.uk.
