It was a terrific weekend for Nailsea Hockey Club, recording a solid win on the road and a home hammering for the second team.
Nailsea first-team travelled to BAC and, in a scrappy game with Nailsea unable to play their best hockey, goals from Cath Hole and Harriet Green meant they were able to claim full points.
Hannah Lacey had a great game in midfield but Player of the match went to Lily Bartle-Jenkins for her solid performances in defence.
Nailsea 2nds cruised to a 5-1 victory over North Somerset Gryphons 3rds on a bright sunny day for this local derby.
Maisy Hole was denied by a brilliant goal-line clearance before Emma Hill scored with a clever reverse stick finish. NSG regrouped to level the scores but Nailsea then took control of the match.
Paige Richardson made it 2-1 and the second half was one-way traffic. Mother and daughter duo, Ali Davies and Emma Hill both hit the net, and Hole sealed the 5-1 victory.
