A good gathering of weekday leisure riders got together for a traditional Christmas lunch at the Colyton Garden Centre and, although the weather was not being helpful, a few managed to get there by bike.
Clive Heard, plus four others, decided that the recent sub -zero temperatures would not put them off trying out a new off-road trail route near Taunton, distance just 14 miles but with 1500 ft of climbing, so it took two hours to complete and was described by one as "a Baltic gravel Chrimbo knees-up", needing a good set of knobbly wide tyres!
Close to year end, and Richard Deeble had achieved over 5,000 miles this year on his E-bike, a great effort, and Robert Sanders managed over 7,500 miles non-assisted, and Jolly had achieved over 3,500 miles, despite having a new knee some months ago. Congratulations to all and to two or three other high-milers yet to come into the limelight.
