Axminster Town progressed to the next stage of the Walter C Parson Cup with an excellent come-from-behind victory over St Blazey at Tiger Way.
The Cornishmen have enjoyed an excellent start to the campaign in the Peninsula West division, sitting third behind Wendron and Wadebridge with games in hand, and they showed that form in the early stages, grabbing the lead with a goal from Martin Giles.
The Tigers quickly regrouped and equalised through Jamie Short before a Craig Veal penalty sealed victory in a super game of football, with massive credit to the groundstaff at Tiger Way for producing a decent surface after a week of heavy rain.
Not many fixtures survived the recent downpours and Brixham will be wishing their pitch was under water after they suffered a surprise Cup defeat at home to Liskeard Athletic.
In the Peninsula East League, there was a massive game at Simmons Park, where Okehampton Argyle extended their lead at the top to four points with a 2-1 win over second-placed Crediton United. The other game saw Newton Abbot Spurs thrash Torridgeside 9-0.
Axminster return to action with a trip to Torrington on December 10, while Honiton Town host Elburton Villa this weekend.
The Devon Football League weekend was also decimated by the weather, with only two games surviving. Budleigh Salterton swept past Newtown with a 4-1 triumph but the result of the weekend came at Acland Park, where Feniton defeated league champions University of Exeter 1-0.
Louis Hoyle scored the only goal for Fenny, who moved up to fifth in the table, but a big test comes next, as they travel to an unbeaten North Molton Sports Club.
Lyme Regis suffered a painful 7-0 defeat to Alphington in the East Devon Senior Cup, while Colyton went down 3-0 at University of Exeter 2nds in the Premier Division of the Devon & Exeter League.
Upottery 2nds climbed to fourth in Division 6 after an outstanding display at Witheridge saw them record a dominant 6-0 victory. Brad Morris and Steve Morris both scored doubles, with Zac Harrison and Sam Netherway also on target.
