Axminster Town made the most of home comforts to march past Cornish visitors Wadebridge Town in the Walter C Parsons Cup.
While there was little to choose between the two sides in the first half, the Tigers took control after the break and ran out comfortable 3-1 winners. Jamie Short was on target and there was a terrific double from man of the match Richard Hebditch.
Axminster can now put their feet up this weekend before returning to Peninsula League action with a visit from Cullompton Rangers next Tuesday evening.
Honiton Town, meanwhile, have a Cup derby at Sidmouth Town on Saturday and will be looking for a response after surrendering an early lead to lose 3-1 at Crediton United on the weekend. A superb Lewis Couch free-kick edged the Hippos in front but Creddy stormed back to bag the points and leave Honiton in 13th place in the league.
