Honiton triathlete Kerri-Ann Upham is stepping up from the amateur ranks to take on the elite in her sport after a spectacular summer of success.
Upham, who attended Honiton Community College, began her journey as a keen member of the Honiton Swimming Club, progressing to the triathlon and specialising in off-road events, which typically comprise a 1500m swim, 30km mountain bike and 10km trail run.
Over the summer, Upham managed to obtain a number of top results. She is now the amateur World Champion in both Cross Duathlon and Cross Triathlon, has achieved multiple wins at Xterra events and just last week completed the set by winning the European Championships in both Cross Duathlon and Cross Triathlon.
The amazing success has led to Upham taking the brave decision to race with the elites next year. If any local business would like to support Kerri-Ann with sponsorship, please contact her direct on kerriann.upham@googlemail.com
