Seaton Bowls Club held its annual finals weekend on a beautiful sunny day and resplendent playing surface, thanks to the diligence of members Terry and Alan.
With 14 trophies at stake, the competition was intense but good-humoured. Leading the field with three wins was Angie Mayhew. Ken Sheen won two matches and was narrowly pipped on the extra end in a third match.
Pat Whitworth proved once again she is a formidable force in competitive games, winning two matches, including the ladies' singles championship. Phil Critchard with his almost effortless delivery also won two trophies, including the men`s singles championship.
Heather Hudson won two trophies, one being the ladies' invitation with husband Rob. There were wins for Paul Hobbs, Terry Hurley-Smith, Mike Mcalpine, Sue Rutter, Kevin Knight, Nigel White, and a terrific performance by Mike Hawkins to win the men's 3 woods trophy.
Thanks to the catering staff Angie, Mike, Nigel, and Bill, plus Margeret, Ruby, and team.
