We're off, it's the start of the Racing, Sportive and Charity ride season, plus better weather for our club leisure riders.
First out of the starting gate is Richard Gorst riding a cross country event at Checkendon, a mostly twisty, narrow and technical ride through woodland.
It was a sprint from the start and Richard managed to get immediately into third spot ahead of the mass of riders behind, which he managed to hold until finally squeezing past into second place.
After over an hour of gruelling effort, it was a brilliant and well-earned first podium position of the year.
On the leisure front, although still restricted to no more than six riders in a group, with sunny and warmer weather on the horizon, and roads dried out in time for Easter, Roger and daughter Becca are out with Becca in her Easter Bonnet - Easter eggs dangling from her ears.
