Farway and Branscombe CE Primary Schools joined The Link Academy Trust in September.
In an update to children and parents this week, headteacher Ashleigh Tubbs says 'We are really looking forward to growing and expanding the schools with their support and expertise.'
With the academy's help, the school has just bought a minibus for the schools. The new bus will be used to transport the children between the schools for special events, for trips and other visits.
The head is hoping with the new bus, it can be used to offer a free bus service to Branscombe CE Primary (initially), then open this up to Farway too.
Ashleigh Tubbs is currently looking for a driver. Their is a job vacancy currently open for a school bus driver at Branscombe C of E School. 38 weeks per year, 2 hours per day. For more information email adminbranscombe@thelink.academy. Or call 01297 680339.
Ashleigh Tubbs added: "Exciting news, we now have a school minibus! We are thrilled to have this provision for our children and we will definitely making the most of it.
One of our main priorities is to build pupil numbers at both schools, both schools offer such a personalised and unique learning experience where we support and develop children as a whole.
"We have spaces in all year groups and in our nursery, where we take from 2 years old. Branscombe also has a free breakfast club from 8am.
