A home care provider has been awarded for its "outstanding" service.

Home Instead Exeter and East Devon has been crowned the 2024 Home Healthcare Provider of the Year in the Corporate LiveWire Innovation and Excellence awards.

The award recognises the company's commitment to providing top-notch home care, professionalising the care industry, and consistently pushing the boundaries of innovation.

The directors of Home Instead Exeter and East Devon said: "We are delighted to have been recognised for the award of Home Healthcare Provider of the Year in the Innovations and Excellence programme.

The award was given based on the quality of care feedback from the Care Quality Commission, clients supported by Home Instead, and years of innovation in developing new services, processes, and quality control.

These efforts have improved outcomes for Home Instead clients, allowing them to live independently in their own homes.

Corporate LiveWire annually nominates companies, products, and services that deserve recognition.

A panel of judges then selects the winners based on their achievements, innovation, and excellence.

The judges said: "We understand the Exeter and East Devon franchise has an outstanding CQC rating and has consistently received very positive feedback from clients, their families, and carers who work/have worked for the organisation.

"We can see you have built a team which are professional, and passionate and go over and above what is normally expected to ensure clients get the best possible quality of care available.

"You clearly get to know all the clients and ensure families can be confident that their loved ones are being properly looked after."

The judges also praised the company for minimising the number of different carers, which helps build bonds with clients.

They noted comments such as the carer’s visit being the "highlight of my Mother’s day".
