Two charities in Honiton have received donations from a housebuilder.
Baker Estates, a Southwest housebuilder, has donated £1,200 to Hospiscare and £2,700 to Honiton Admiral Nurse.
The money will be used to support the work they do for the community.
Since 2019, the company has donated a total of £25,000 to both charities.
They donate £100 every time they sell a house at their Hayne Farm development in Honiton.
Hospiscare, the hospice for Exeter, Mid and East Devon, supports nearly 2,500 people and their families who are living with a terminal illness every year.
They rely on donations from the community and need around £8.4 million each year to continue their work.
Andrew Randall, chief executive officer at Hospiscare, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Baker Estates for continuing to support us in this way.
"On behalf of Hospiscare, I would like to say a huge thank you to Ian Baker and his team for this generous support, we are looking forward to continuing to work with Baker Estates.
"The donations will help many people in the local area who are living with a terminal illness and their loved ones."
Honiton Admiral Nurse, which is part of Dementia Friendly Honiton, has received £16,200 from Baker Estates over the past six years.
They provide support to families and caregivers of people living with dementia.
Heather Penwarden, chair of Dementia Friendly Honiton, said: "Baker Estates have been incredible in their loyal support over the past six years with regular donations now totalling £16,200 to support our Admiral Nurse.
"It is often the smallest and most local of charities that have the biggest impact on the communities they serve.
"Six years ago, the trustees of Dementia Friendly Honiton recognised a need to offer support to the families and caregivers of people living with dementia and we took the brave step to fund a fully qualified Dementia Specialist Nurse from Dementia UK.
"The fundraising for this post is relentless but the benefit that the Honiton Admiral Nurse gives to people living with dementia in our community is immeasurable."
She added: "Having faith in us as a local charity has meant so much and we can’t thank them enough for their support which really has made a difference where it counts most.
"At Honiton Admiral Nurse, we have been able to give expert guidance to people living in the most challenging of times and most importantly help them feel that they are not alone, so thank you again Baker Estates for helping us to make this possible."
Baker Estates said they are proud to support these charities and will continue to do so.
Ian Baker, managing director at Baker Estates, said: "We are proud to continue to support these very important and well-regarded local charities.
"As a community-focused housebuilder, we like to find ways of contributing to local charities, who are reliant on donations and work so hard to raise funding."
