Carers turned into arts and crafts enthusiasts at a recent group session.
The session, held at the Methodist Church on August 28, saw participants crafting a vase with colourful flowers using pipe cleaners, paper cups, and cardboard.
Led by tutor Hazel Austin, the session had a good turnout, with participants expressing enjoyment and appreciation for their creative efforts.
The gathering also welcomed Gill and Karen, two nurses from the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
They offered free NHS health checks, aiming to reduce the risks of heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, stroke, or dementia among carers.
Refreshments were provided by Stella Ford and Lorraine Bracey.
Lisa Lloyd hosted a raffle, and Carole Sexton assisted in serving.
Table flower decorations, created by Barbara East, added to the atmosphere.
The group expressed gratitude to its volunteers for their consistent support.
The carers' group will have a stand at Gittisham Fete on August 31 and will host a social at The Kitchen at Combe Garden on September 4, from 3pm to 4.30pm.
Unpaid carers are invited to join the community and can contact Winnie Cameron on 07974 636926.
