A new memoir has been released by a West End star ahead of her performance at Axminster Guildhall.
Kerry Ellis' book chronicles her two-decade journey from childhood dance lessons to becoming a leading lady on the West End and Broadway.
The memoir includes previously unseen photographs and details her success on Broadway and her friendship with Queen's Sir Brian May, with whom she has recorded several albums.
Kerry has also enjoyed a successful solo recording career, with her fourth album, Kings & Queens, featuring the new single Battlefield, currently available.
The West End star, known for her roles in Oliver! and Miss Saigon, said writing the book was a "real joy" as it allowed her to reflect on her career.
She said: "I was a dreamer as a kid. I dreamed big and there were things I wanted to do.
"I wanted to be in the West End, I wanted to be on Broadway, I wanted to sing in stadiums… even back then there was an element of: 'I will do this'.
"There was a seriousness.
"There was a part of me that was sure I would do it.”
The memoir, Kerry Ellis: Queen of the West End, is being released alongside her one-woman tour.
The book can be pre-ordered at awaywithmedia.com/books.
The nationwide tour will allow fans to hear more about her life and her favourite West End songs.
She said: "I am really proud of this book, and I hope everyone will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it."
Ms Ellis will perform at the Axminster Guildhall on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Tickets are now on sale on their website.
