A model railway exhibition is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Pecorama's model railway exhibition, established in 1974, has been a key part of the model railway community for half a century.
To celebrate this milestone, Pecorama and its owner, PECO, are releasing a limited edition gold-themed OO-9 gauge wagon.
There are only 50 of these unique numbered models available, which can be purchased at the Pecorama Model Railway Shop or on their website.
One of these wagons will include a golden ticket, offering the winner a VIP experience with a personal tour of the PECO Model Railways’ factory, collaborating with the design team to create a customised wagon.
The winner will also receive a £50 voucher to spend in the Model Railway Shop.
The exhibition will also host a golden trail competition this summer, where visitors can win a £300 voucher by finding small golden objects on the model railway layouts.
The exhibition has expanded over the years to include a wide collection of layouts, historical displays, and interactive exhibits.
Michael Pritchard, chairman, said: "We are incredibly proud to celebrate 50 years of our model railway exhibition.
"This limited edition gold wagon and the golden ticket experience are our way of saying thank you to our loyal visitors and customers who have supported us over the years."
Andrew Beard, exhibition manager, said: "Having joined the company nearly 50 years ago myself and building the exhibition from scratch, I am proud to be part of a legacy that I hope will continue to inspire and delight visitors of all ages, for many more years to come."
The exhibition, which has been a key part of the model railway community for half a century, was established in 1974 by local businessman Sydney Pritchard and his wife, Claudine.
It has attracted visitors from all over the world, to foster a love for model railways and to inspire future generations of modellers.
