Cranbrook Country Parks has clinched the coveted Green Flag Award, marking it as one of the country's best parks.
Cranbrook Town Council has won the prestigious award for achieving international quality recognition for parks and green spaces.
The award affirms the efforts of the team involved in maintaining the park for both residents and tourists.
Keep Britain Tidy’s Green Flag Award scheme manager, Paul Todd MBE, said: "I would like to congratulate everyone involved at Cranbrook Country Parks on achieving a Green Flag Award.
"Cranbrook Country Parks is a vital green space for communities in Cranbrook, Exeter, to socialise, enjoy nature, for children to play safely and it provides important opportunities for park users to improve their physical and mental health.
"It is important that our free to use spaces are maintained to the Green Flag Award standard, making them accessible for all members of the community while ensuring the environment is protected."
Cllr Les Bayliss, chairman of Cranbrook Town Council, said, "It is our honour to receive the Green Flag Award.
"Our team and volunteers have demonstrated dedication in building and maintaining a beautiful and healthy town.
"We hope everyone can enjoy the magnificent green spaces in Cranbrook."
The Green Flag Award scheme, overseen by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy and authorised by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, acknowledges and rewards excellently managed parks and green spaces, setting exemplary standards for green space management across the UK and around the world.
