Gateway Theatre has received a donation of £97.08 this week from Londis store manager Mike Searle.
The contribution, generated from customers dropping their change into a collection tin, pushes the total amount raised by the mini supermarket past the £200 mark since its opening.
Theatre finance officer, Justin Sutherland, said: "We are extremely grateful to the Londis customers for being so generous, every penny quite literally counts at the moment."
The Seaton theatre, which not only supports community groups but also offers an array of top-notch performances, continues to strive for excellence despite funding cuts.
As the 120th anniversary of the Gateway Theatre approaches, upgrades to branding and the website are in progress, further testament to their dedication to providing quality experiences for the area at accessible prices.
