Axminster United Reformed Church are holding a concert with a three-course meal for children in Gaza.
Taking place on Saturday July 6 at 7pm the support Christian Aid’s work with the displaced children in Gaza.
A professional vocalist Mawgan Statt, who has sung on cruise ships as well as across the UK, will be singing songs from the musical theatre.
The meal will include soup, a pie with vegetables and a selection of desserts prepared by members of the church.
Christian Aid says that Thousands of people have been killed and over 1.9 million displaced after the escalation of violence in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory on 7 October 2023.
In Gaza, as of 20 May, at least 35,000 Palestinians have been killed. Around 85,000 Palestinians have also been injured.
In Israel, 1,200 people have been killed and civilians, including women and children, have been forcibly taken. Some have been released in a deal brokered by Qatar.
