HONITON pub landlord David Veal has taken over The Thirsty Farmer in Whimple.
Mr Veal already owns and runs The Heathfield Inn in Honiton. He said: "The Thirsty Farmer was a pub which was on the brink and is now a busy, loved venue in under 12 months.

Well now it’s his mission to do the same for The Thirsty Farmer. He has big plans for the pub, including a refurb, new chef, and new staff.
He said: "We just want to give the place a general injection of life. We can’t wait to make this a bustling busy pub once more.
"We’re closed for a week to get things sorted. But please join us for our opening, next Thursday 13th June at 12 midday Drinks only for the time-being, but watch this space for menu updates."
