A THREE storey shop and house in Honiton town centre has sold for £165,500 at auction on Wednesday June 12
The premises at 98 High Street include retail space, store rooms, offices, WC, shower and a staff room.
They were among 175 lots listed in the latest sale by one of the top five property auctioneers in the UK, Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.
Senior auction appraiser Audrey Smith said: “This well-located property drew keen interest before selling at £10,000 above its freehold guide.
“The new owner has the option to continue with some form of commercial use or there is potential for development, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”
Statton Creber Commercial of Exeter was joint auctioneer. The June auction was Clive Emson Auctioneer’s 250th since it was founded in 1989.
The next auction by Clive Emson Auctioneers - the fifth this year - ends on Wednesday, 24 July. Bidding opens 48 hours beforehand.
Lot entries close on 1 July, with the online catalogue available from 5 July. See more details on their website.
