Police are investigating after a woman died in a collision involving two Land Rover Discovery vehicles on the A361 in Devon.
Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision near Tiverton at around 11am on Sunday, May 26.
A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a local woman in her 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
“The scene was handed over to highways at around 7.50pm.
“A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
