The A30 between Ottery St Mary and Fairmile was closed for around an hour on Monday (May 13) after police responded to calls regarding concern for the welfare of a woman.
Devon and Cornwall Police, alongside the fire service and ambulance service, attended after receiving calls at around 5.55pm on Monday, May 13.
The A30 was closed in both directions while emergency services engaged with the woman, who left the scene safely with them.
The road was reopened at around 7.35pm.
