Following the popularity of the previous events in 2022 and 2023, Seaton Town Council announces another free entry, extended Seaton Summer Celebration for 2024.
It takes place on Saturday June 15 from 1pm until 10pm at the Cliff Field Gardens. The live stage is back with music from East Devon Rock Choir from 4pm. Music from Look Around Corners. East Devon Battle of the Bands and Devon’s New Artist winners, The Upper Hand.
Headlining the event this year are festival favourites Mr Tea and the Minions. There will be even more to see and do this year with the very popular Circus Berzercus circus skills workshop returning together with Thelma Hulbert’s Creative Cabin, Ozzy D’s magic shows and Crazy Crabs’ pop-up beach school.
Seaton’s community groups are back offering activities such as hook a duck, badge making, biscuit decorating, coconut shy, popcorn stand, glitter tattoos, water safety awareness and lots more traditional games.
All rounded off with a bonus of an actual Wizard DJ'ing super fun dance tunes for a kids afternoon disco, a Seaton Majorettes display and a performance from Seaton’s very own Sunshine Samba too.
Look out for Devon Freewheelers and their blood bikes as well as information stands for East Devon Rock Choir, Sustainable Project Live and Sunshine Samba. No alcohol on sale and no food concessions on site apart from ice cream, cake, tea, coffee and soft drinks (subject to availability).
Cllr Amrik Singh, Seaton Town Council chairman and mayor said, “This is a wonderful event that brings the whole community together for a day of celebration and fun. Everyone is welcome, we look forward to seeing you there.
"The emphasis is once again on community, accessibility, and inclusivity – so bring along a picnic, a rug and come join us for some good old-fashioned family fun. Seaton Summer Celebration promises to be another fantastic day to remember in a lovely seaside spot."
Seaton Town Council is grateful to Seaton Lions, the Royal British Legion, Christians Together and Churches Together, Save Food Hub, Seaton Majorettes, Seaton Guides, Seaton Brownies and Rainbows, Seaton Scouts, the RNLI, Restore CIC, Sustainable Project Live CIC, Seaton Carnival, Seaton League of Friends, Seaton Library, Seaton Chamber and Devon Freewheelers for their help and support.
