Honiton Carers took part in an arts and crafts session where they enjoyed some dream catching.
The gathering took place at the Methodist Church on April 24.
Hazel Austin hosted the event and demonstrated her dream catcher crafting techniques.
She supplied an array of materials for the group, instructing them to cover a ring base before adorning it with decorations.
The carers were informed about the historical roots of dream catchers, a tradition prevalent amongst the Native American Ojibwe tribe.
These hanging adornments were believed to protect sleepers, principally children, from nightmares and malicious spirits.
As the group produced their unique creations, they voiced a wish that their dream catchers would offer them the same protections.
The function concluded with the serving of refreshments and a raffle managed by Miriam Thomas.
Tea was provided by Pat Dunlop and Valerie Lloyd.
Honiton Carers' next event, open to all unpaid carers, will take place at Combe Garden Centre's kitchen, from 3 to 4.30pm on May 1.
