Jake Bonetta has announced he will be standing for Labour in the Honiton and Sidmouth seat at the next general election.
Mr Bonetta announced the news on social media recently that he will standing for the seat. He will go up against Liberal Democrat's Richard Foord and tory Simon Jupp for the new seat.
Both Mr Foord and Mr Jupp will be fighting for the their jobs in the newly created boundary changes mean's the Tiverton and Honiton seat will be abolished. Mr Jupp's current East Devon seat will also be split into two with Honiton and Sidmouth and Exmouth seat.
On his appointment, he said: "I’m proud to be the only candidate who grew up in the constituency from birth, made and shaped by the towns, hills and fields surrounding us.
"I have grown up all my life in Honiton, with local parents and family. I went to school in Honiton and Colyford, have worked for businesses in Honiton and Sidmouth, and I run an organisation feeding people in the area. I am a proud former EDDC and Honiton Town Councillor.
"Now more than ever, the Conservatives are not working for us in Honiton and Sidmouth. With a Government led by Keir Starmer, Labour will begin to bring common sense, decency, and delivery back into our politics.
