South West Water is taking its latest Community Roadshow to Lyme Regis.
The aim of the event is to share investment plans with customers, hear their views and answer any questions they may have.
The gathering will take place in the heart of the town at Woodmead Hall on April 18.
Attendees will have the chance to interact with a variety of field experts from South West Water, gain insights into their work, and understand their focus areas.
With a market-stall-like format, the event will feature displays tackling topics such as network blockages, bill assistance for customers, and issues pertaining to natural resources and invasive species.
All this forms part of South West Water's wider landscape of initiatives.
They plan to invest £2.8 billion region-wide, including enhancing all storm overflows connected to the River Lim by 2027.
This encompasses seeking solutions to prevent surface water from entering the sewer network, and boosting storm storage mechanisms.
This planned investment is set to complement Lyme Regis beach’s ‘good’ bathing water quality classification, as determined by the Environment Agency, with the aim of elevating it to an 'excellent' standard in the future.
Laura Flowerdew, chief customer and digital officer at South West Water, said: "We really do care what our customers think about both our performance and investment plans.
"This is why we are continuing to travel around the South West region and talk to our customers in person."
She continued: "These roadshows are opportunities for us to meet with local customers, listen to their concerns and provide clear answers on the work we are doing to invest in and protect the region we all care so deeply about."
For those wishing to attend, the Community Roadshow will run from 12.30pm to 4.30pm at Woodmead Hall, Hill Road, Lyme Regis DT7 3PG on Thursday 18 April, with advance registration required.
