The Gateway Theatre has been recognised for its role in the Seaton community at this year's Jurassic Business Awards.
The theatre won the Community Support Award for giving audiences the opportunity to see live theatre and music, film screenings and many other events, along with its involvement with a wide range of local organisations including the U3A, dance, music, and sports groups, and a regular Tea & Chat group for older residents.
Theatre manager Sophia Moseley said: "This award is fantastic, and recognises just how important the theatre is to Seaton and the surrounding area, and is testament to the dedication and devotion of our staff and volunteers who make sure the theatre is here for everyone.
"As a charity, we rely heavily on the goodwill of our volunteers to help keep the theatre running, never more so than now with spiralling costs and reduced income.
"So this award is a real shot in the arm for us all."
The awards, organised by Marketing West, acknowledge local businesses for their economic and community contributions. The ceremony was held at Sidmouth Rugby Club on February 29.
