Axminster Drama Club’s youth section is into its last few rehearsals as it gets ready to stage School of Rock later this month. 

Members of ADC Youth have been working on the production since last summer. 

The story revolves around struggling guitarist Dewey Finn who, after losing his job in a rock band, poses as a supply teacher at a prestigious school. 

After realising the level of musical talent in the class, he sets out to enter the Battle of the Bands with the pupils. 

Director Sara Leat said: “This group of youngsters has been working really hard over the last few months to bring their own star quality to what is a really good show. 

"It’s been a real pleasure to work with them.”

The show will be staged at Axminster Guildhall on Friday, March 22 and Saturday March 23, with two performances on the Saturday.
