A car has been left 100 per cent damaged after catching fire in Chardstock last night (Thursday, February 15).
One fire engine from Axminster was sent out at around 7pm after a number of people called the fire brigade reporting a car on fire in Chardstock.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire but it was left 100 per cent damaged. The fire also caused minor heat damage to a window frame and window of a property it was parked beside.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Once on scene we confirmed that one vehicle was well alight and got to work using two Breathing Apparatus and two Hose Reel Jets to extinguish the fire.
"Crews succesfully extinguished the fire using 2 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reel Jets, a Thermal Imaging Camera and Small Tools."
