East Devon's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.
And a further seven closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 9pm January 24 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 28 to 29, lane closure for barrier works.
• A30, from 9pm January 29 to 6am January 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 29 exit and entry slip closed for electrical works, diversion for exit slip via, junction 30 and back, diversion for entry slip via A30, M5 north to junction 28 and back.
• A30, from 9pm January 31 to 6am February 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 30 exit and junction 29 entry slip closed for electrical works, diversion for, junction 30 exit slip via M5 south to junction 31, A30 Alphington roundabout and back, diversion for, junction 29 entry slip via A30, M5 north to junction 28 and back.
• A30, from 9pm February 1 to 6am February 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 29 entry slip closed for electrical works, diversion via A30, M5 north to junction 28 and back.
• M5, from 9pm February 2 to 6am February 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 30 exit slip closed for electrical works, diversion via, junction 29 and back.
• M5, from 8pm February 5 to 6am February 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 exit slip road closure for road markings, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 28 and return.
• M5, from 8pm February 5 to 6am February 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 30 entry slip road closure for road markings, diversion via Sidmouth Road, Moor Lane and A3015 to junction 29.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
