Lyme Regis environmental education company Little Green Change is asking Year 12 students to join them as part of their school's work experience week.

The company has a number of opportunities available including environmental project planning, fundraising research and bid writing, and creating written content for their website's inspiration pages and 2024 magazine. An opportunity to shadow their founder and director for a day is also included.

Students from The Woodroffe School, and Colyton Grammar School, have already signed up to take advantage of this opportunity.

Little Green Change's founder and director, Clare Matheson said: “I am delighted that Little Green Change can be involved in this way, helping to inspire students to hopefully follow a career in the environmental sector.” “I remember how hard it was gaining experience at the start of my career, and I'm aware that schools often struggle to find enough in-person work experience placements for their students, so when I saw a recent news article featuring Sir John Colfox Academy calling for placements, I reached out.”

Clare hopes other businesses, charities, and organisations will also be able to help, allowing as many students as possible to gain a proper insight into the world of work and the numerous career paths available in the South-West.

In addition to the work placements offered, Clare Matheson will also be delivering a 'careers in biodiversity' speaker talk at a number of schools, as part of National Careers Week from 4th - 9th March 2024.
