A planning application has been submitted to convert the second floor of a building in Honiton town centre into two flats.
The ground floor of the property, at 114 to 116 High Street, is currently occupied by Runventure, South West Kitchen Design and Bradleys Estate Agents. East Devon District Council granted approval for the vacant first floor to be turned into flats in June this year.
A change of use application has now been made for the top floor of the building. The applicant has submitted a floor plan showing that it can be converted into two flats with natural light reaching all habitable rooms. No external changes are proposed – these are not required and would not be allowed anyway.
The application will be determined by East Devon District Council.
