A SERVING Devon and Cornwall police officer is facing a jury trial after denying a sexual assault on a woman.
Police constable Jack Rickard pleaded not guilty to intentional sexual touching of a female when he appeared before a judge at Taunton Crown Court.
The alleged offence is said to have happened at Rickard’s address in central Exeter in November 2022.
Devon and Cornwall Police said PC Rickard was off duty at the time of the alleged incident and has been suspended from duty since his initial arrest.
The judge said PC Rickard, aged 35, will stand trial in January 2025 and he was granted unconditional bail.
